Located on the third floor of a 15th
century Roman palazzo in the historic center of Rome, our fully restored
antique-furnished adjoining two, two-bedroom apartments are available normally
for a minimum of one week, or monthly.
The palazzo is one block from Piazza Navona, three blocks from Campo di
Fiori market, four blocks to the Pantheon, fifteen minutes walk to the Spanish
Steps or Trastevere, and twenty minutes to St. Peter's. There are numerous excellent restaurants
boutiques, antique, etc., shops as well as grocers in the area.
The apartments are extremely
centrally located and both have abundant light.
The apartments have been fully restored, newly painted, while
maintaining antique coffered and beamed wood ceilings with gilt highlights, and
polished stained antique wood floors and doors, with oriental rugs and Italian
antique furniture. They both are fully equipped with all necessary linen, kitchen supplies, and appliances (dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, telephones with answering machines,
computer printers [bring your own laptop], TV’s, VCR’s [American videos can be
rented two blocks away], and stereos), high speed internet connection, and SKY cable TV. Although spacious (each approx. 1600 sq.
ft.), no more than four people are permitted to stay in one at a time.
There is no elevator, and the
apartments are on the “secondo piano,” two floors above street
level. Weekly cleaning service is arranged. This is an
antique building, and although
there are modern appliances in the apartments, the internal plumbing
systems in
Rome - and in
our building - are old, so care must be given to the apartments and
their
systems. There is a manager nearby who
greets guests, shows them the apartment, and is available in the event
of
emergencies. A written guide to the
apartment, its systems, the neighborhood, Rome
generally, and useful telephone numbers and services, is provided to
all
guests.
